The holidays are here and for us that means it is time to make desserts! This year we started with an easy one. Trix Treats! Who wants boring old rice treats when you can add some color?! These are so much fun!
A colorful take on your favorite Marshmallow Treats
Melt butter in sauce pan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth. Stirring constantly.
Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly and firmly in buttered 13 x 9 inch pan. Cut into 2 x 2 inch squares when cool.
Remove from heat and add Trix cereal. Mix together until cereal is well coated.
Use a buttered spatula to press cereal/marshmallow mixture evenly into buttered 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Cut into squares when cool.
Melt White Chocolate Chips in the microwave, checking and stirring every 15 seconds. (I used a half of a bag of chips for my recipe)
Stick one mini marshmallow onto each end of the pretzel stick and dip the complete "bone" into the melted chocolate. Allow to cool.
Use your Strawberry and/or blackberry sauce as your "blood" dipping sauce. I used my own homemade sauce made of strawberry and blackberry.
*Turn your microwave to its lowest setting before melting the chocolate.
